SORAIA video debut!
Born in 2005, Soraia epitomizes raw power, unrelenting energy, chaos, and freedom.
Above all this, Soraia’s ferociously energetic, intoxicating live shows are their trademark calling card, showcasing a will to defy and survive. Lead singer ZouZou has been referred to as “a true mix of Iggy Pop and Joan Jett” onstage. They’ve toured constantly throughout the US, playing the dingiest corner dive bars to the most massive amphitheaters throughout their career – including Milwaukee’s legendary Summerfest in 2009.
Soraia co-wrote an album (In the Valley of Love and Guns) in 2011 with Jon Bon Jovi and supported a number of shows on his tour in 2010-2011. They then signed to Steven Van Zandt’s record label, Wicked Cool Records, in 2016.
The energy emanating from the Soraia constellation reached the eyes and ears of renowned tastemaker Steven Van Zandt (The E Street Band, The Sopranos), the Wicked Cool mastermind who has eagerly bestowed “Coolest Song In The World” honors on seven of their tracks since 2013, including his #1 pick of 2016, “Electrocutioner.”
They’ve consistently earned heavy rotation on Steven’s weekly syndicated radio show and SiriusXM channel Little Steven’s Underground Garage and completed their latest album, Dead Reckoning, with Van Zandt. Released in October 2017, Dead Reckoning’s leadoff track, “Quicksand”, was awarded Little Steven’s pick for “Coolest Song in the World” 2017. They returned from a European tour last fall and hit the West Coast this winter with Wicked Cool’s Prima Donna. They are kicking off their Dead Reckoning tour this spring, covering the east coast and midwest.
Here at Hard Rock, we’re STOKED to host the debut of their new video, “Monster”, which can be seen in Hard Rock Cafes worldwide. Check it out!
